What’s a Workplace Missionary?

A Workplace Missionary is a Christian who follows Jesus at work. It’s important to make the distinction, “at work” because many Christians put their belief of Jesus in a silo. They follow him on Sunday and leave the cross at home during the workweek. It’s a seldom spoken truth.

Why Should You Follow Jesus at Work?

Jesus charged his disciples with The Great Commission.

The Great Commission

“Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.” Mathew 28:19-20 WEB

As Christians, we tend to forget The Great Commission. It’s too uncomfortable. Discomfort however is the sign that you’re following Jesus. Push through this discomfort and you’ll find yourself consumed with joy.

Biblical Principles for Work

Workplace Missionary is a biblical based inspiration for following Jesus at work. You’ll discover the Missionary’s 4Ps: perceive, prepare, plant seeds and professionals. These concepts will assist you on your journey with Christ at work.

Integrating Faith in the Workplace

Broken social norms make integrating faith in the workplace challenging. It’s no different now than it was when Jesus walked the world. We’re broken people living in a fallen world. Don’t give up. You can do it. Trust Jesus, pick up the cross and walk forward. It won’t always be easy, but you’ll never be alone. Jesus will be with you.
