What are some job titles you’ve held?

  • Sales Associate
  • Summer Camp Counselor

What industries have you worked in?

Still in college at University of Missouri

How old were you when you were baptized?

I was baptized as an infant, but am planning on being baptized again as a conscious profession of my faith. (20 years old)

How did a failure set you up to have success being a missionary at work?

This summer I ran into some trouble attempting to share my faith with a coworker at a retail store. My coworker had been wronged by the church in the past and wanted nothing to do with faith. Even though I failed, in a sense, to bring him to Christ, the experience taught me a lot about perseverance in my mission to advance the kingdom of God.

What’s a Bible verse that you want to share with your fellow workplace missionaries? Why?

“What good is it for someone to gain the whole world yet forfeit their soul?” Mark 8:36

I want to share this verse with my fellow workplace missionaries because it is a good reminder that our worth doesn’t lie in our worldly gains or successes at work, but rather our worth is in our relationship and obedience to God. It is easy to get wrapped up in your work and lose your eternal mindset, but in the end your worldly gains won’t matter a fraction of the amount that the lives you change due to sharing your faith at work will.

If you could tell the CEOs of the biggest companies in the world one sentence about Jesus, what would it be?

That Jesus lived the perfect life we couldn’t and died the death we deserved in order for us to have eternal life with Him forever in heaven.

What’s the best spiritual investment you’ve made?

I spent an entire summer in Gulf Shores, Alabama at a Christian program called Kaleo. Kaleo was done through a group at University of Missouri called Student Mobilization. Kaleo changed my life in many ways because I learned how to dive deeply into scripture, form a genuine relationship with God, and share my faith effectively. That summer solidified my purpose in life as living for God. Investing in a summer at Kaleo took my faith to the next level and I’m forever grateful.

What seed planting tip would you share with your fellow workplace missionaries?

Not to be discouraged if it seems like you aren’t making any progress. God calls us to plant seeds and care for them, He is the only one who can make them grow. We are the sowers, He is the grower.

What would you tell young Christians who are entering the workforce for the first time?

I am a young Christian entering the workforce for the first time soon.

When you find yourself focusing on worldly things, what do you do to refocus on following Jesus?

I like to meditate on memorized scripture when I find myself focusing on worldly things. Doing so tends to refocus me on my purpose in Jesus.
